What ages are you legally allowed to hire?

In general:

  • Most positions we staff are for individuals 18 years of age or older, due to job duties, equipment, and workplace environments.
  • In limited circumstances, minors ages 16–17 may be eligible for certain roles if the job is non-hazardous and complies with Fair Labor Standards Act regulations.
  • Individuals under 18 are prohibited from working in jobs classified as “hazardous” under the FLSA, including roles involving specific machinery, equipment, or work conditions.
  • While federal law allows employment as young as 14 in very limited industries, these roles are uncommon and do not apply to most positions we fill.
